Going "green" is now being accepted by the public says New Scientist (NewScientist.com)

Source: MIT's electric CityCar still on track

"Since 2010, the Smart Cities group has collaborated with the Spanish company DenokInn. With the support of the Spanish government, private investors, and banks, DenokInn established the Hiriko project, an initiative to build the initial full-scale, drivable prototype of the CityCar, and then scale up and commercialise its production and distribution. Chin told New Scientist that he estimates the first full-scale prototype will be built by the end of the summer, and that the CityCar will be on the road within three years."
