"3. Slavery still exists in the US.
Estimates by the US State Department suggest up to 17,500 slaves are brought into the US every year, with 50,000 of those working as prostitutes, farm workers or domestic servants."
What is Bonded Labour?
Read a good article on it. I'll try to explain as quickly as possible. Suppose you are a slave and you come into bonded labour when you are tricked by the employer by a debt or something confusing that makes your boss in charge of you. And thus, to repay his debt you've to work for him for a long long time ;(
I really really recommend you to read about Fair Trade also.
"fair trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and
respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade."
Did you know about these terms, Anti-Slavery, Bonded Labour Or Fair Trade? if not then good because now you know.
